A total of 179 vacancies have been announced across 38 specialties/departments - 149 in VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital (main hospital) and 30 in RHTC, Najafgarh (satellite centre). All Senior Residents recruited, including those recruited for VMMC & SJH posts, will be posted in RHTC, Najafgarh on brief rotational basis as per requirement. Teaching experience certificate will be issued by VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital. 24 posts are horizontally reserved for PwBD (Divyangjan) including backlog vacancies as per DOPT, Government of India rules.

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the date of walk-in-interview. Eligibility will be determined with reference to age, educational qualification, and experience as on the date of walk-in-interview. Permanent Registration Certificate from Delhi Medical Council (DMC) is mandatory for both MBBS and PG degrees (or applied for registration). Candidates can appear for only one specialty/department under this advertisement.

VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital Senior Resident Adhoc Recruitment 2026 - Application Fee

No application fee is mentioned in the notification. The selected candidates are however required to submit a refundable security deposit of Rs. 65,000/- at the time of joining, along with original UG & PG degrees. Selection is through Walk-in-Interview only. No written examination will be conducted. Candidates must register on the date of walk-in-interview at Room No. 18 (Academic Section), Ground Floor, College Building, VMMC & SJH, New Delhi between 09:00 AM and 10:30 AM with original certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies. Inter-hospital/institution transfer shall not be permitted. The appointment will be initially for 89 days, extendable for a further 89 days subject to satisfactory HOD report.
