Selection Procedure:

1. Shortlisting for Main Examination: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Main (Written) Examination based on their normalized score in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025). Up to 15 times the number of advertised posts (category-wise) will be shortlisted, including all candidates up to the final cut-off normalized score (up to 2 decimal places).

2. Main Written Examination: One objective/multiple-choice question paper of 100 questions, 100 marks, duration 2 hours. Negative marking of 25% (1/4 mark) for each wrong answer. The written exam is the basis of selection.

3. Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Qualifying in nature. Minimum physical fitness standards (height, chest measurements) as per UP Youth Welfare Department Subordinate Service Rules, 2017.

4. Physical Eligibility Test (PET): Qualifying in nature. For Kshetriya Yuva Kalyan Adhikari: 200m race, long jump, high jump, shot put (male); 200m race, long jump, cricket ball throw, skipping rope (female). Minimum 45 marks out of 100 required. For Vyayam Prashikshak: Indian Exercise (Malkhamb, Aasan, Mugdar) and Gymnastics events with specified minimum marks.

5. Merit List: Final merit list prepared based on marks obtained in the written examination by candidates who qualify the PMT and PET.

• Candidates must possess the required essential qualification(s) and other eligibility conditions, and fall within the prescribed age limit, by the application closing date (6 November 2026).

• Candidates seeking reservation/age relaxation benefits must obtain the relevant caste/reservation certificate, in the prescribed format, issued by a competent authority on or before the date specified in the notification, and must produce it to the Commission when required.

• EWS category applicants must hold an EWS certificate issued between 1 April 2026 and 6 November 2026 (the application closing date), based on income for financial year 2025–26, valid for financial year 2026–27, in the prescribed format.

• Candidates must indicate their post preference at the time of document scrutiny; the Commission will attempt to allot posts as per preference, subject to availability, seniority, educational qualification, and age, but the Commission's decision is final.
