Territorial Army Commission 2026 Vacancy
A total of 12 vacancies have been announced for Territorial Army Commission 2026 11 posts for Male candidates and 01 post for Female candidates. The final selection shall be made in the order of merit up to the number of vacancies available.
Male and female candidates will be placed in separate order of merit on the basis of total marks secured in the Territorial Army Commission Examination (CBT) and the SSB tests. Vacancies are subject to change as per organisational requirement, and the Territorial Army Directorate reserves the right to alter the number of vacancies without prior notice.

Territorial Army Commission 2026 Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay an examination fee of ₹500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) for Territorial Army Commission 2026. Payment of examination fee can be made only through the modes prescribed on the official website. Payment of fee through any other mode is neither valid nor acceptable. Applications submitted without the prescribed fee or through an incorrect payment mode shall be summarily rejected.
Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances, nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection. Candidates are advised to retain proof of fee payment for future reference.

Territorial Army Commission 2026 Salary / Pay Scale
Officers commissioned in the Territorial Army will receive pay and allowances at par with Regular Army Officers when embodied for training and military service as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay matrix. Commission is granted in the rank of Lieutenant with a pay level of 10 in the pay matrix. In addition to basic pay, officers receive Military Service Pay (MSP) of ₹15,500/- per month.
However, since Territorial Army is a part-time commitment with mandatory two months of training per year, pay and allowances are applicable only during the period of embodiment for training or military service. Serving in the Territorial Army does not guarantee pension, which is subject to embodied service as per organisational requirement. Promotions up to Lt Colonel are by time scale subject to fulfilling laid-down criteria, while promotion to Colonel and Brigadier is by selection.

Candidates are required to apply online only by using the official website www.indianarmy.nic.in. No other mode is allowed for submission of application. Online Registration and Applications can be filed from 20 April 2026 (1000 Hours) to 19 May 2026 (2355 Hours), after which the link will be disabled.
Candidates must ensure they provide their valid and active email IDs and mobile numbers in the application form, as the concerned authorities will use electronic mode of communication at different stages of the examination process.
Candidates must carefully decide their choice of examination centre while filling in the application form, as no request for change of centre will be granted after submission. The online application form for Territorial Army Commission 2026 - Form IAF (TA)-9 (Revised) Part-1 - is available exclusively on the official Indian Army website at www.indianarmy.nic.in. The form requires candidates to fill in their personal details, qualification details, employment details, and choice of examination centre. Candidates must ensure all details are accurately filled and match the supporting documents, as any discrepancy found at any stage may lead to disqualification. The online application window is open from 20 April 2026 (1000 Hours) to 19 May 2026 (2355 Hours) only. Important Instructions for Candidates
Candidates applying for Territorial Army Commission 2026 must carefully read all instructions mentioned in the official notification before submitting their application. The Territorial Army Directorate reserves the discretion to fix qualifying marks in any or all subjects of the examination and has the right to conduct the CBT at all cities or any of the cities depending upon the number of candidates and other compulsions. No request for change of examination centre will be entertained. Fee once paid will not be refunded. The Objection Management Link will be hosted on the official website 72 hours after the examination for a period of three days only, allowing candidates to raise concerns regarding questions and answer keys.
