PSPCL ALM Recruitment 2026 - Vacancy Details

A total of 3289 vacancies have been announced for the post of Assistant Lineman (ALM) in PSPCL, comprising both Backlog and New Posts. The vacancies are distributed across various categories including General, EWS, SC (MZB), SC (OT), BC, XSM, PWD, Sports Person, and Freedom Fighter. The reservation of posts for reserved categories (including Women reservation) is applicable for candidates of Punjab Domicile only. PSPCL reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel the entire/partial recruitment at any stage.

PSPCL ALM Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions up to the last date of submission/registration of online application i.e. 06-07-2026. The candidate must possess the requisite qualifications up to the last date and shall submit proof at the time of document checking. Candidates whose result has been declared recently and certificate is yet to be issued — the date of declaration of result shall be considered as the date of completion of that qualification, subject to production of proof.

As per Punjab Govt. Notification G.S.R.20/Const./Art.309/Amd.(10)/2010 dated 24.05.2010, candidates should not be below 18 years and above 37 years of age as on 01/01/2026. Age relaxation in upper age limit is admissible as per PSPCL/Punjab Government instructions.

PSPCL ALM Recruitment 2026 - Application Fee

Fee will be accepted by online mode only. No other mode for depositing fee is acceptable. The fee once paid shall neither be refunded under any circumstances nor held in reserve for any other recruitment or selection. Submission of application shall be considered complete only if the application fee has been deposited and showing "Paid" in the online application form. GST @ 18% is applicable as per Government of India norms.

PSPCL ALM Recruitment 2026 - Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection process for PSPCL ALM Recruitment 2026 consists of a Computer Based Online Test followed by Document Checking. The online test is based on the Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rule, 2022 notification dated 28.10.2022. No TA/DA will be paid for journeys performed for online test/document checking.

How to Apply for PSPCL ALM Recruitment 2026

Candidates will apply online through the PSPCL website www.pspcl.in in English only. No other means/mode of submission including manual/paper applications will be accepted. The application process is in three steps: Step-I (Registration and Form Filling), Step-II (Online Fee Payment), and Step-III (Print Application Form). Candidate should have a valid personal mobile number and personal e-mail ID which should be kept active during the entire recruitment process.

Candidates are advised not to wait till the last date and should submit their application and deposit the fee at the same time. PSPCL shall not be held responsible if any candidate is unable to submit application and fee due to last-minute rush or any internet/bank transaction issue.

Documents / Upload Requirements:

• Recent passport size coloured photograph in JPG/JPEG format (Dimensions: 150 x 200 pixels preferred; Size: 20 KB to 50 KB)

• Signature on white paper with Black ink pen in JPG/JPEG format (Dimensions: 140 x 60 pixels preferred; Size: 10 KB to 20 KB)

Documents to be Produced at the Time of Document Checking (Originals + One Self-Attested Photocopy):

• Matriculation or equivalent certificate and marksheet (for basic qualification and age proof)

• National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in Lineman Trade

• Punjabi language pass certificate of at least Matriculation level

• Punjab Domicile proof (for claiming reservation benefits)

• SC/BC Certificate as per instructions of concerned department of Govt. of Punjab (if applicable)

• EWS Income and Asset Certificate showing gross annual income for FY 2025-26 valid for FY 2026-27 (if applicable)

• Ex-servicemen Certificate/Lineal Descendant Certificate issued by District Sainik Welfare Officer, Govt. of Punjab (if applicable)

• Freedom Fighter Certificate issued by Deputy Commissioner of concerned district (if applicable)

• Sports Gradation Certificate issued by Director Sports Department, Punjab (if applicable; must be submitted to Recruitment Section, Head Office, PSPCL, Patiala before or up to the last date of online application)

• PwD Certificate issued by Civil Surgeon of Govt. of Punjab for partially deaf/hearing, Autism Spectrum Disorder (mild), Specific Learning Disability, Mental illness (if applicable)

• Any other document as required by the document checking committee

Important Instructions for PSPCL ALM Recruitment 2026 Candidates

• Online applications only - no other mode will be accepted; application without deposit of requisite fee shall be rejected.

• Category/sub-category once filled in the online application cannot be changed under any circumstances; candidature of a candidate who applies under wrong category will be rejected without further notice.

• On successful registration, candidates are advised not to attempt re-registration for the same post; only the latest application (with highest/latest application number) shall be entertained and fees paid against one application number shall not be adjusted against any other.

• For EWS category, it is mandatory to produce Income and Asset Certificate showing gross annual income for FY 2025-26 valid for FY 2026-27; candidates who have not yet obtained this certificate are advised to apply immediately to concerned authorities.

• Sports Person category candidates must submit their Sports Gradation certificates to the Recruitment Section, Head Office, PSPCL, Patiala before or up to the last date of online application submission. Only certificates issued by O/o Director Sports, Punjab are valid.

• Candidature of a candidate is purely provisional subject to fulfillment of eligibility after document checking; mere issue of admit card/passing of online examination will not imply candidature has been finally cleared.

• Candidates appearing for document checking must appear personally; nobody on the candidate's behalf can appear. Two chances (the second being final) will be given for document checking; failure on both occasions will result in cancellation of candidature.

• Selected candidates issued appointment letter will be given 21 days to join PSPCL; failure to join within the stipulated period will result in automatic cancellation of the appointment letter.

• Candidates working in Govt./Quasi Govt. offices/PSUs must submit a No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of joining.

• Validity of selection panels will be one year from the date of approval of 1st selection panel by the competent authority; waiting list shall cease after expiry of panel validity.

• Mobile phones, cell phones, hand bags, electronics/non-electronics instruments, ornaments etc. are strictly not allowed in the examination complex.

• At the exam venue, candidates must bring Admit Card and Aadhaar Card along with one more photo identity proof in original (Employer ID (Govt.), Driving License, Voter Card, Passport).
