Selection Procedure:

• Written Test: 100 marks, MCQ type (OMR/CBRE Mode), one paper only.

  • Questions on subjects as per syllabus of Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology (DMRT): 60 questions, 60 marks

  • General Knowledge: 20 questions, 20 marks

  • Arithmetic (Middle School Certificate Standard): 15 questions, 15 marks

  • English (High School Certificate Standard): 5 questions, 5 marks

• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer. No penalty for unattempted questions.

All eligibility conditions must be fulfilled as on the date of advertisement, i.e. 28.08.2026 (except the contractual Radiographer age-relaxation clause).

• Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.

• Educational Qualification: Must have passed the +2 Science Examination under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha (or equivalent), and passed a Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology (DMRT) or Bachelor in Medical Radiation Technology (BMRT) from a Government Medical College and Hospital of the state, or any other private institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the All India Council of Technical Education.

• Professional Registration: Must have registered their name in the Radiographers Council of the State and possess a valid Registration or Renewal Certificate as on the date of submission of the online application, which must be uploaded online.

• Odia Language: Must be able to speak, read, and write Odia, satisfied by having passed the Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject, or Matriculation/equivalent with Odia as the medium of examination in non-language subjects, or Odia as a language subject up to Class VII or above, or a test in Odia at M.E. School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department.

• Character: Must be of good character.

• Marital Status: If married, must not have more than one spouse living (subject to Government exemption provisions).

• Applications can be submitted online only, through www.osssc.gov.in; any other mode or incomplete application will be summarily rejected.

• Multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate will not be accepted and will lead to cancellation of the result; candidates are not allowed to fill more than one application form under any circumstances.

• Applicants must have their own personal e-mail ID and mobile number, valid till completion of the recruitment process, for receiving all communication including the Admission/Intimation Letter.

• No printed Admission Letter/Intimation Letter will be sent by post; candidates must download it from the OSSSC website using their User ID and Password.

• Applicants having a temporary disability should not apply as PwD, as such applications are not eligible and will be summarily rejected.
