• Educational Qualification: Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board

• Nationality: Indian citizen, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan

• Sports Qualification: Must have participated or won medal(s) in one of the recognized levels of competition (International, National, Inter-University, Khelo India Games, etc. – see marking scheme below) between 01.01.2024 and 01.11.2026

• Candidates must possess all required educational and sports certificates on the date of recruitment; those without them are not eligible

• Educational certificates from boards other than Central/State Boards must be accompanied by a Government notification declaring equivalence for Central Government service

OBC (NCL) certificate must be obtained within 3 years before the closing date (01.11.2026). Date of Birth is finalized based on the Matriculation/Higher Secondary certificate submitted; no subsequent change request is considered.

Chest (Male Only)

• General: Unexpanded 80 cm, minimum expansion 5 cm

• Scheduled Tribe: Unexpanded 76 cm, minimum expansion 5 cm

• Garhwalis/Kumaonis/Dogras/Marathas/Assam/HP/J&K/Ladakh: Unexpanded 78 cm, minimum expansion 5 cm

• NE States (Arunachal, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura) & GTA: Unexpanded 77 cm, minimum expansion 5 cm

Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per the medical standards chart (Annexure-I).

Medical Standards

• Minimum distance vision 6/6 and 6/9 in both eyes without correction (glasses/lenses not permitted); binocular vision required; colour vision tested by CP III (Ishihara)

• Colour-blind candidates are not eligible

• No knock-knees, flat foot, varicose veins, or squint; must be in good mental and bodily health

• Tattoos: only religious symbols/figures/names permitted, on the left forearm (inner aspect) or dorsum of hands only, sized under ¼ of that body part

Also includes Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, Washing Allowance, Special Compensatory Allowance (border postings), free uniform, free accommodation/HRA, Transport Allowance, free Leave Pass, free medical facilities, and other admissible allowances. ITBP Constable (GD) Sports Quota Selection Process & Marking Scheme

Selection Procedure:

1. Online Application Scrutiny: Online application forms and uploaded certificates will be scrutinized. Eligible candidates will be issued online admit cards.

2. Documentation: Candidates must produce all original documents/certificates pertaining to age, education, caste, sports achievement, and other relevant documents before the Recruitment Board. Biometric capture will also be done. Minimum qualifying marks: 10 (for all categories).

3. Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who qualify in documentation will undergo PST. Standards: Male Height: 170 cms, Chest: 80 cms (unexpanded), 5 cms expansion; Female Height: 157 cms. Weight proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

4. Sports Trial Test: Qualifying in nature (40 marks total, minimum cut-off: 20 marks). Conducted by Board of Officers in the respective sports event. Marks from Sports Trial Test will NOT be considered in the final merit list. Exempted for candidates who have represented India in International Sports Events with clearance of Department of Youth Affairs & Sports.

5. Merit List: Drawn on the basis of marks obtained as per sports achievement table (Para 4(c)(ii)). Tie-breaking: highest marks > higher national achievement > younger age > alphabetical order.

6. Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Candidates shortlisted on merit will undergo DME as per Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment Medical Examination for CAPFs and AR (MHA U.O. No. A.VI-1/2014-Rectt(SSB) dated 20.05.2015).

7. Review Medical Examination (RME): Candidates declared unfit in DME may undergo RME on giving written consent within 24 hours. Decision of RME Board is final.
