HPRCA Recruitment 2026 Notification Overview

The Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA) has officially released a recruitment notification for PGT Teacher. HPRCA PGT Teacher Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

Selection Process

Selection will be made through Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Screening Test followed by Document Verification.

• Computer Based Test (CBT):

  • Total Marks: 120 (Objective Type – 120 Multiple Choice Questions, 1 mark each).

  • Duration: 1 ½ hours (90 minutes) or as decided by the Aayog.

  • Syllabus: (i) Subject(s)/field(s) up to the level of prescribed essential qualification(s). (ii) General Knowledge (including HP & Current Affairs), Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English & General Hindi of Matric Standard.

  • Minimum Qualifying Marks:

    • General Category: 45%

    • SC/ST/OBC/Wards of Freedom Fighters: 40% (Aayog may relax by maximum 5% if number of qualifying candidates is less than posts).

  • In case of multiple shifts: Normalization of scores using Z-Score Method (Mean and Standard Deviation Method).

  • Provisional Answer Key will be uploaded; 7 days for objections (fee ₹200 per challenge).

• Shortlisted candidates (as per merit) will be called for Document Verification.

• Final selection on the basis of CBT marks + verification of original documents.

• Category-wise Waiting List/Panel will also be prepared (25% for up to 25 posts, 15% for 25-50 posts, 10% for above 50 posts).

• Appointment is purely Scheme-based, temporary for 5 years on fixed honorarium under the CBSE Scheme notified vide No. EDN-B-A(1)-3/2025 dated 01.04.2026. Selected candidates are not regular Government employees and can be posted anywhere in the State.

How to Apply

Application Mode: Online only through the official website of HPRCA. No Offline Application Form will be accepted.

Steps to Apply:

1. Visit https://hprca.hp.gov.in → Click “Sign Up” to create username & password.

2. Complete One Time Registration (OTR): Fill personal details, education qualifications, work experience (if any), upload recent passport-size photograph & signature.

3. Login → Go to “Apply” → Select the desired post (Post Code 26017/26018/26019/26020).

4. Fill/confirm details (auto-filled from OTR profile).

5. Select Preferred Exam District (HPRCA reserves right to allot any centre).

6. Review application → Pay fee online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.

7. Submit and take printout of the application form for future reference.

8. A candidate can submit only one application against each post.

General Instructions

• Cut-off date for determining eligibility (Essential Qualifications, Age, Experience) is 04-05-2026 (11:59 PM).

• Age: 18 to 45 years (as on 01-01-2026).

• Candidates must be registered on One Time Registration (OTR) portal before filling ORA.

• Category once claimed cannot be changed after the correction window.

• Only Bonafide Himachali candidates need to have passed Matric & 10+2 from HP School/ Institution (except Bonafide Himachali).

• Reserved category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/BPL/WFF) must be valid on closing date of ORA as well as on date of document verification.

• PwBD/PwD candidates can avail scribe/reader & compensatory time (20 minutes per hour) after prior approval from HPRCA.

• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in CBT or document verification.

• Admit Card will be downloaded from the website only (no postal dispatch).

• Mere submission of application or appearing in CBT does not guarantee eligibility. Final eligibility is determined at document verification stage.

• Canvassing in any form or use of unfair means will lead to disqualification and possible criminal action.

• The appointment is purely temporary under the CBSE Scheme. Selected candidates shall not be regularized against any sanctioned post of Education Department.

• Dispute, if any, shall be subject to Court jurisdiction of Himachal Pradesh only.

• Candidates are advised to visit https://hprca.hp.gov.in regularly for updates, admit card, answer key, result etc.
