GPSC Advertisement No. 05/2026 - Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions before applying. Knowledge of Konkani is essential for most posts. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with knowledge of Konkani, the GPSC may recommend a candidate if otherwise found fit and this requirement can be relaxed by the Government on the recommendation of GPSC, if the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do in case of Group 'A' posts in Professional Colleges and Consultants in the Directorate of Health Services. Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the GPSC in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Clinical Psychologist - Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour

(i) Master's Degree in Psychology from a recognized University or equivalent; (ii) Master of Philosophy (Clinical Psychology) or Diploma in Medical and Social Psychology (Two Years Course) from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent; (iii) Two years experience of working in the field of Psychology or Clinical Psychology or Medical and Social Psychology including psychological testing and counselling; (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
