CG Teacher Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet any one of the following qualifications:

  • Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)

  • Graduation with minimum 50% marks + B.Ed.

  • Graduation with minimum 45% marks + B.Ed., as per applicable NCTE norms

  • Higher Secondary (12th) with minimum 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed./B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed.

  • Graduation with minimum 50% marks + 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)

  • Must have qualified Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) as prescribed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Subject-wise graduation requirements also apply for Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Mathematics, Social Science and Agriculture posts

CG Teacher Recruitment Age Limit

As on 01 January 2026:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years

  • Maximum Age: 35 years

  • Chhattisgarh SC/ST/OBC candidates: Upper-age relaxation of 5 years

CG Teacher Recruitment Selection Process

Selection for CG Teacher Recruitment 2026 is based on a written examination (LST26) conducted by CGSSB.

  • The exam consists of 100 objective-type questions, carrying 1 mark each.

  • Total exam duration is 2 hours (10:00 AM to 12:15 PM).

  • Each question has four options; candidates must fully darken one circle using a blue or black ballpoint pen on the OMR sheet.

  • Negative marking applies: 1/4 mark is deducted for a wrong answer or for marking more than one option.

  • Unattempted questions are awarded zero marks.

  • Document verification, final selection, and appointment are handled separately by the recruiting department and are outside CGSSB's scope.

How to Apply for CG Teacher Recruitment 2026

Eligible candidates can apply online for CG Teacher Recruitment 2026 through the CGSSB website using the steps below.

  1. Visit the official website vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in or cgssb.cgstate.gov.in.

  2. Complete the new online Profile Registration if not already registered.

  3. Upload a recent light-background photograph in JPG/JPEG format (minimum 50 KB, maximum 100 KB).

  4. Upload a scanned signature in JPG/JPEG format (minimum 50 KB, maximum 100 KB).

  5. Select the LST26 Teacher recruitment exam and fill in the required application details based on your profile registration.

  6. Pay the applicable category-wise application fee online.

  7. Review all entered details carefully and click "SUBMIT" to complete the application.

  8. Download and keep a printout of the submitted online application form for future reference.

Caste, date of birth, domicile, educational qualification, disability, and ex-servicemen certificates are not collected at the application stage; these will be verified later by the recruiting authority. CG Teacher Recruitment Admit Card

The admit card for LST26 is expected to be released around 19 October 2026 on the official website. Candidates can download it by logging into their profile on the CGSSB portal. The admit card must be printed on one side of each page and retained even after the exam, as it may be required during the selection/joining process.

CG Teacher Recruitment Important Instructions

  • Report to the exam centre at least 2 hours before the exam for verification and frisking.

  • The main gate closes 30 minutes before the exam starts (9:30 AM, as the exam begins at 10:00 AM); no entry is allowed after this.

  • Carry the admit card, a black or blue ballpoint pen, and an original photo ID (Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN Card, or Aadhaar Card).

  • Wear light-coloured, half-sleeve clothing; black, dark blue, dark green, purple, maroon, and dark chocolate-coloured clothing is not permitted.

  • Wear slippers/sandals as footwear; ear ornaments of any kind are not allowed.

  • Communication devices, electronic devices, electronic watches, purses, pouches, scarves, belts, and caps are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

  • Candidates in religious or cultural attire must report early and undergo additional security checks.

  • Leaving the exam room during the first and last 30 minutes of the exam is not permitted.

  • Objections to the provisional answer key can be raised online only, with a fee of ₹50 per question and supporting evidence; objections by post, email, or in person are not accepted.

  • Re-checking or re-evaluation of OMR answer sheets is not permitted, as evaluation is done by machine.
