Selection Process

• The selection process for Central Bank of India Specialist Officers in Risk Management streams consists of an online written examination followed by a personal interview.

• The final merit will be prepared by giving 70% weightage to the online written test and 30% weightage to the interview, subject to document verification and medical fitness.

• Only those candidates who qualify the online exam and meet the bank’s cutoff will be called for the interview in a prescribed ratio to the number of vacancies.

How to Apply

Visit official website

• Go to the official Central Bank of India website: centralbank.bank.in.

• Open the “Recruitment/ Careers” section and click on the link for “Recruitment Process for Selection of Officers in Specialist Category in Risk Management Streams.”

• On the recruitment page, click on “Click Here to Apply” / “Apply Online” which redirects to the online registration page (IBPS application link for CBI SO).

• Read the detailed notification, “How to Apply” and FAQ on the registration page carefully before proceeding.

New registration

• Click on “New Registration” and enter basic details (name, contact number, email ID, etc.) to generate a Registration Number and Password.

• Note down the Registration Number and Password for future login and form completion.

Fill online application form

• Log in using Registration Number and Password and select the relevant post/scale (Analytics & Model Risk, Asset Liability Management, Digital Risk Management, Enterprise Risk, Market Risk in Scale IV/III/II as applicable).

• Fill personal details, category, domicile, address, qualification (B.Sc/B.Tech/BE/MBA/PGDM etc.) and post-qualification experience in Risk/IT/ALM/Digital Risk as per eligibility.

• Ensure all experience details (years, organisation, role) match what is required for the chosen scale and stream.

Upload required documents

• Upload recent passport-size photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration in the prescribed dimensions and file size, as per the instructions in the notification.

• Upload supporting documents (if asked at application stage) like certificates, experience certificates and category certificates in the specified format.

Pay application fee

• Pay the application fee online: ₹175/- (intimation charges) for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates and ₹850/- (application fee + intimation charges) for all other candidates, through debit card/credit card/net banking/UPI.

• After successful payment, verify that the fee status shows as “paid” and proceed to final submit. Applications without successful fee payment (where applicable) will be treated as incomplete.

Final submission and print

• Review all details carefully; edit if required before final submission, as no changes are allowed after final submit.

• Click on “Final Submit” and generate your application form.

• Download and take a printout of the e-receipt and submitted application form for future reference, online exam and interview/document verification stages.

General Instructions for Candidates

• Apply online only; no other mode of application will be accepted.

• Ensure you fall within the required age limits for Scale IV (20–45 years) and Scale III/II (20–35 years) with applicable relaxations as per Government/Bank rules.

• Enter details exactly as per your certificates; any mismatch or false information may lead to rejection at any stage of the recruitment process.
