This recruitment is purely under the Compassionate Ground Appointment Scheme. There is no competitive written examination. Selection is based on verification of eligibility as dependent family members of Assam Rifles personnel.
Eligible Categories (only one dependent family member per deceased / medically discharged / missing personnel):
Killed in Action (KIA)
Died while in service
Discharged from service on medical grounds
Missing while in service
Recruitment Rally: Tentatively scheduled in Jul/Aug 2026 at Lokhra (Assam).
Firm date of reporting and detailed instructions will be sent to eligible candidates by registered post / email and uploaded on the official website www.assamrifles.gov.in.
Final selection is subject to document verification, medical examination and other formalities as per Assam Rifles rules.

Only one dependent family member per eligible Assam Rifles personnel can apply.
Candidates must be Indian citizens and meet all eligibility conditions as on the cut-off date (01 Jan 2026 for age).
All documents must be self-attested; original documents will be checked at the time of rally / document verification.
Pay scale and allowances will be as admissible to Assam Rifles personnel.
The recruitment rally date and reporting instructions will be intimated separately to eligible candidates only.
